On Monday, November 8, 2021, the Daughters of Charity, gathered in their General Assembly elected Sister Françoise Petit as Superior General, for a period of six years.
As a member of the Social Justice Representatives of North America, I find myself grateful over and over again for the global view of the Vincentian Family.
I like the term “guardian.” It has an association with St. Joseph. Frequently he receives the title “Guardian of the Lord” and “Guardian of the Holy Family.”

As every year, I send you the activities of the CIF for the next year 2022. Within the CIF we work to spread Vincentian ethics and spirituality.
During my last pastoral visit to the village of La Sabana I had the opportunity to share with them and learn about an interesting experience.
Fr. Rooney’s teacher, Sr. Loretto Gettemeier, D.C., told him, “We must respond to needs. That is a question of conscience. To know that something must be done and to remain passive and unresponsive is to fail to respond to God’s Will making itself known to us through events.”
