Beginning August 7, at 8:00 a.m. CT, we will honor our Blessed Mother here at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal with a very special Assumption Novena of Masses.  On each of these nine days we will celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in devotion to Mary, asking her to obtain for us God’s infinite graces.  Do you know someone, perhaps a spouse, child, grandchild, or friend, in need of Jesus’ loving mercy?  Please, send me their names as well as any special prayer intentions you have.  We will place them at our Lady’s Altar and remember each of them in the nine Assumption Masses we celebrate, including the Solemnity Mass on August 15. August 15 is not just any day here at the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal. It’s one of the most blessed days of the entire year, because August 15 marks the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It’s also the day we re–affirm our commitment to spreading devotion to the Mother of God for the coming year as members of Mary’s Miraculous Medal Family. She knows that all who wear her medal and pray for others will be united with Jesus, her Son. That is her promise.
