The beginning of a new decade seems to offer wider possibility and a new hope to me. For whatever reason, the number 2020 seems positive!
Are we aware of the changing landscape of poverty and new needs? Do we need to update our mental maps?
Do we realize that our lives preach?
These harsh realities sadden the hearts of the members of the Society and the Vincentian Family. We cannot, however, lose hope that the situation will improve.
During the past year the Vincentian Family has attempted to alleviate the terrible economic, political and social situation in Venezuela.
In October, in Umuagwu, Uzoagba (in the state of Imo, Nigeria), the members of the International Association of Charity provided needy children and widows with clothing, kitchen utensils, school bags, sandals and toys.
