In celebration of the Year of Consecrated Life, the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati are inviting community members to join them in a variety of service activities in and around their local community. Service dates are scheduled for Saturday, June 13 and Friday, June 19 from 9 a.m. until noon. Opportunities include yard work, weeding, demolition work, painting, gardening and arts and crafts.
Interested individuals will have the opportunity to volunteer on either one or both dates. Participating organizations include Community/Education Matters, Working in Neighborhoods, Resurrection School, St. William School, the Price Hill Pacer, EarthConnection and Hillside Community Garden. A picnic lunch will be provided after both opportunities for all volunteers. Lunch will be served at noon at the Sisters of Charity Mount St. Joseph Motherhouse.
All activities, and their requirements, are detailed at SignUpGenius or by visiting the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati website at www.srcharitycinti.org.
The Days of Service and Mission are part of a year-long celebration for the “Year of Consecrated Life,” as declared by Pope Francis. They offer families and adults the opportunity to learn more about religious life today and develop new and lasting relationships. Please consider taking some time from your busy schedule to work side by side with our Sisters. Let’s wake up the world by living differently, living with passion, and living with purpose!
