CEO sleeput 2014It’s the night CEOs swap their fine Egyptian cotton sheets for a sleeping bag rolled out on a piece of cardboard for the annual Vinnies CEO Sleepout.

About 1000 Australian CEOs slept out nationally on Thursday night – 300 of them braving the cold in NSW.

For the past four years, the Sleepout has raised money for homeless men and women that do it tough every night.

This year St Vincent de Paul Society says the event raised $5.4 million – topping last year’s figure by $100,000.

The night’s joint leading fundraiser, Holly Kramer, CEO of Best&Less, who camped out at Sydney’s CarriageWorks in Eveleigh, says it’s an event that makes her think about homelessness.

“The night is all about the learning about the issues of homelessness.”
