Young Adults…Looking for a Meaningful Professional Next-Step? Consider a Year with VVC!

by | Jun 29, 2019 | News

As a former Vincentian Volunteers of Cincinnati (VVC) member (2012-2013), I got the chance to experience and witness the Vincentian charism alive and at work through the Bellarmine Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, who graciously took me in for the year to be a part of their conference.

As the current Vincentian Volunteers of Cincinnati Program Manager, I’m reaching out to invite you to consider helping spread the word about this wonderful program to the young people in your life who are seeking something deeply meaningful to be a part of. This is a great opportunity to share what being a Vincentian means to you – help them to experience it for themselves! We currently have two young women and one young man that have committed to the program for next year, and we can take up to 10 people total. We really hope we can get as close to that number as possible this upcoming year, so your help would be greatly appreciated!

I have included information below that you could forward on to young people you know – or if you feel it may be helpful for it to come from me, please send me their email addresses or other contact information (cqiu@SVDPcincinnati.org) and I’ll be happy to reach out to them directly. If someone you know may be interested in visiting the VVC house on Bank Street and chatting in person over a cup of coffee, I’ll be happy to do that as well!

Thank you so much for your help in creating opportunities for encounter – with our neighbors, each other, and ultimately, with God.

Looking for a meaningful professional next-step? Consider a year with VVC!

Through Vincentian Volunteers of Cincinnati

Our neighbors in need receive person-to-person service on a daily basis.

St. Vincent de Paul benefits from dedicated, passionate, gifted young professionals (like you!).

YOU walk away with solid professional experience and a deepened passion for faith & justice, in solidarity with those in need.

What Makes VVC different?

  • Real, professional work placements including healthcare, service learning, communications, and direct social services
  • 100% of our former volunteers take their next step to deepen their passion through further education or landing a new job, following their year with VVC
  • Monthly Leadership Development Workshops
  • Excellent support and formal mentorship opportunities

Spend this year in a place where everywhere you turn, you will bump into people who will ask good questions, support you, accompany you through this year of searching for who you are and what you want to do in the world. That is unique to VVC.

Inspire. Connect. Encounter.
