Pray with the Ladies of Charity
Excerpt from Second Sunday of Advent Prayer Service
PRAYER: Baruch is telling us “take off your robe of mourning and misery; put on the splendor of glory from God forever…” This is a time for joy and anticipation, not for gloom and doom. St. Paul tells the Philippians, “I pray always with joy in my every prayer for all of you.” And in the Gospel, John the Baptist calls us to “Prepare the Way of the Lord, make straight his path.” Advent is a great time of preparation for us, but we must have the Joy of Christ in our hearts.
Update from Ladies of Charity in San Bernardino
…It is such a comfort in knowing that we belong to an organization where members show compassion, love and that we genuinely care for one another. … we do have loved ones who are injured but, not deceased. So we are really blessed as well….
