FaViLa Day 2

by | Mar 20, 2015 | Vincentian Family

DSCN9937Sister Francel writes… On the second day in the morning, Sr. Alba Arreaga spoke about the Vincentian Virtues. This conference emphasized the importance of living these virtues in order to answer to our call as Vincentian Family. Then there was a discussion in small groups about the following questions:

  • How do we live the virtues of the charism given by St Vincent and St. Louise to the Vincentian Family?
  • What challenges posed by our contemporary world in our service to those who are poor are of the most interest to us? Why?
  • What steps can we take as Vincentian Family in order to approach these challenges?
  •  Which of the virtues of our charism can we as a Vincentian Family contribute to evangelization today?

In the afternoon, there was a tour to the “Centro Histórico” of Guatemala City. It was a fraternal and relaxing time, and the same time, it was a brief learning experience about Guatemalan history.

After dinner many of the branches of Vincentian Family met to evaluate their journey and engagement with those who are poor in Latin America.
