The Daughters of Charity at both the International and North American level are quite involved in supporting the Global Catholic Climate Movement Fast and both levels have asked FamVin to post notice of the project.

The Global Catholic Climate Movement Fast is well under way, but we still need quite a few countries to sign up. Even if just one person in a particular country is fasting, that still counts! We are looking to sign up a different country on each of the 40 days of Lent and we are woefully shy of this goal. Lent begins on Feb. 18th, which is just over a week away. Nothing too inconvenient has to be done, just sing up to fast, then fast. From food, from carbon, from technology, from talking, we are not concerned with the type of fasting, as long as it is not endangering the Earth.
