Gospel Joy and Vincentian International Missions

Gospel Joy bannerMissionaries are people committed to sharing the Gospel Joy. Vincentian International Missions stand in that tradition and their new website “Gospel Joy” tells the little known stories of Vincentian Fathers and Brothers who have committed themselves to sharing Gospel Joy in some of the remotest and forgotten areas of the planet.

In the mountains of Chile and Bolivia, the ice and snow of Alaska,  the heat and humidity of Tunisia, Angola, Chad and Benin in Africa and Oceania in Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands Vincentian missionaries bring joy they want to share with you their joy, their daily struggles, the harvest brought in God’s vineyard.

Global Missions

The site provides not only a list of these missions and the missionaries who spread this joy. But one can also get a feel of the language from a special pages devoted to experiencing a decade of the Rosary  via recordings in various languages spoken by the local people in theses countries. Each recording consists of a decade of the Rosary (“Our Father”, 10x “Hail Mary” and “Glory”)

As the site develop you will be able to meet these missionaries and  literally see them action.

Although individual Provinces of the Congregatio of the Mission have committed themselves to various “mission territories”,  the “International Missions” are those sponsored by the Superior General and his Curia in Rome.

The missionaries come from various Provinces of the Congregation and have volunteered to do the missionary work.

The Joy of the Gospel (Evangelii Gaudium) is the title of Pope Francis’ very well recognized exhortation. It serves as the title and basic theme of the website dedicated to international missions of the Congregation of the Mission.
