demjanovichSister Miriam Teresa, a Sister of Charity – New Jersey,  will be Beatified on October 4th, 2014 in Sacred Heart Basilica in Newark. The Charity Federation website posts notice of a Day of Reflection – “Venerable Sister Miriam Teresa SC: Her Life, Spirituality and Miracles”

April 26th, 2013 – 10am – 3:30pm

Miriam Teresa Demjanovich was born in Bayonne, New Jersey in 1901. She entered the Sisters of Charity at Convent Station in 1925. Miriam Teresa died in 1927 at the age of 26. Because of her saintly life and spiritual writings, her Cause for Canonization was initiated in 1947.

Mary Canavan SC – Vice Postulator for the Miriam Teresa Cause

Kathleen Flanagan SC – Recognized Lecturer on Saint Elizabeth Seton and Sister Miriam Teresa.

Mary DeMayo MD – Medical consultant who guided the process for the recognition of the miracle leading to the Beatification of Miriam Teresa.
