by | Jan 7, 2024 | Formation

Blessed Anna Maria Janer Anglarill (18 December 1800-11 January 1885) was a Spanish nun who established the Sisters of the Holy Family of Urgell, a branch of the Vincentian Family. Her memorial is celebrated on January 11.

Due to a Civil War (1836) she emigrated to France, seeking refuge for four years with the Daughters of Charity in Toulouse. She chose St. Vincent de Paul as a primary patron of her institution of Sisters. You may remember reading about them in a previous .famvin post.

The following presentation gives a brief biography and an overview of the charism of those who follow in her footsteps today. From the website: www.familiajaneriana.org
