“Receive the Holy Spirit”
Jn 20:22
Beginning Sunday, June 5, a Pentecost prayer specially prepared for the Vincentian Family by the members of Vincentian Marian Youth will be available on the famvin YouTube channel.
This is not a live event: as soon as it is published, you can choose the time that is most convenient for you to view it.
Dear members of the worldwide Vincentian Family:
On the feast of Pentecost, we overcome all distance in order to gather together and pray because the family that prays together, remains together.
Today, the universal Church celebrates the fact the God fulfilled his promise and sent the Holy Spirit to remain among us.
Open our hearts so that we might welcome the Spirit and allow the Spirit to act in us, to renew us and to lead us.
Today is a day to rejoice and give thanks because God has never abandoned us.
Thanks to the Spirit we can find God in very simple things:
in a glance, in a smile, in all that surrounds and in each and every brother and sister.
Thanks to the Spirit we can be hopeful in difficult moments and live with joy in the midst of much sadness and injustice.
The Spirit gives us life and strength to continue Christ’s mission.
May the Holy Spirit dwell in our hearts today and always.
Happy feast of Pentecost!
The video is available with subtitles in Arabic, German, English, French, Dutch, Italian, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish.
