Religious of St. Vincent de Paul named their Superior General and Council for the next six-year period

The General Chapter of the Religious of St. Vincent de Paul was held at the Mother House of the Congregation of the Mission, 95 rue de Sèvres in Paris. In the chapel of this same house, before the relic of the body of St. Vincent de Paul, the Institute was founded on March 3, 1845.

The Capitulants, gathered in General Chapter since May 8, 2022, announced the election of Rev. Fr. Bertin Sanon for a second term as Superior General.

They elected as Assistants:

  • Rev. Fr. Alain Fiset, of the Province of Canada, as First Father Councilor;
  • Rev. Br. Anthony Royon, from the Province of France, as First Brother Councilor;
  • Rev. Fr. Cléber Polizer, from the Province of Brazil, as Second Father Councilor;
  • Rev. Br. Philippe Mukwa, from the Vice-Province of Congo, as Second Brother Councilor.
