Plea for help for International Association of Charity (AIC) in the Ukraine

by | Mar 2, 2022 | Conflict in Ukraine, Disasters and Responses, News

We are all shaken by the war that has just broken out in Ukraine. The news we are hearing since last Thursday fill us with great concern for the whole population, whose lives have suddenly been disrupted.

We are in contact with Yana Krutsey, the AIC Ukraine President, to see how the AIC network could best support the victims of the conflict, in particular our brothers and sisters living in poverty.

Yana’s first request is that we pray for Ukraine and its people. Fr. Tomaž Mavrič, CM, President of the Executive Committe of the Vincentian Family, has invited us to join Pope Francis and pray together for peace on Ash Wednesday, March 2. On this occasion, let us not forget all the people who are victims of conflicts around the world:

Vincentian Family Prayer For Peace in Ukraine

In terms of concrete support, the current priority is to assess what the most urgent needs are and to find the most secure ways to bring the necessary aid to people on the ground. But one thing is already certain: there will be a huge need for support!

You can make a donation for Ukraine to the AIC account, using the following bank details:
