Sixth Meeting of the Confraternity of Christian Educators in Latin America

by | Jan 4, 2021 | News

On Friday, December 16, the sixth meeting of the Confraternity of Vincentian Educators in Latin America was held (via zoom). During that time the participants reflected on two phrases of Saint Vincent with regard to prayer and service on behalf of the poor. Those words highlight the importance of forming men and women so that they become people who pray and and give witness to our students.

At the same time, the educators in the Dominican Republic shared with us a project called “dignified housing for the poor.” This project consists of building homes for people with few recourses. They began with five homes and the plan is to continue to build more homes. They have obtained the land on which they are able to build these homes and asked the participants to collaborate in spreading the news about this project.

Before concluding the meeting, Father Flavio extended the following invitations:

  1. We committed to organize the Webinar on the third Sunday of February 2021.
  2. He also called us together to participate in a meeting with the President-elect of the United States in order to express our concerns about immigration and poverty.
