March 6, 1842 marks the date when Jean-Marie Odin, CM was consecrated bishop in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Odin leaves a great legacy in the history of the Congregation of the Mission. He became one of America’s most renowned Catholic frontier missionaries.
