It seems to be difficult for society to see and recognize those men and women who are poor. Those whom we refer to as “the new poor” are frequently “new” because we have just discovered them… yet in reality these men and women have been poor for a long period of time prior to “our discovery”. Such is the situation of the disabled, those who “have missed” the train of progress and who can never ever board that train.
