This week we’re celebrating the anniversary of the first Confraternity of Charity in 1617 (later the AIC or Ladies of Charity). The following video based on the AIC Charter talks about fulfilling commitments: as citizens, as Christians, as Vincentians, as women.
Questions to reflect on in groups:
- How does being aware of the existence of so much social injustice around you motivate you in your work as a volunteer?
- Given the teachings of Christ and Saint Vincent de Paul, how do you try to be consistent in your personal life?
- What practical actions could you carry out, alone or in a group, to fulfill your commitment to accord a place to women in society?
