On March 19, Vincentian Fathers, seminarians, Sisters of Mary of Miraculous Medal and volunteers participated in Youth Day in Zhytomyr. They made presentations on activities of communities and charitable groups of the Vincentian Family. They shared with youth how sharing their talents can help the needy and how friends and similar minded people can unite to do good. At workshops young people had opportunity to learn about first aid to people in need, how to start conversation/familiarize with them, how to organize charity fairs to raise funds, get donations for the needs of the poor, engage new volunteers and so on… Also, as it was time of preparation to Easter they painted wooden Easter eggs.

We are grateful to organizers of Youth Day and all participants for their collaboration and openness to new knowledge!

And some impressions from our volunteers:
Once again, the road had its traditional snow covering. It is not the first time it happened on my way to Diocesan Youth Day in Zhytomyr. But this time, we went on a mission to talk about charity works with Vincentian Family and take part in workshops on various types of assistance. We were so glad that the youth were open-hearted and sincere, that they had a great variety of means to help the poor, that their hearts were open for help. They brainstormed us different ideas for new kinds of help which we would gladly use.
