The President of the JMV offers this summary of the final day of Vincentian Family Collaboration (VCAP) in Ethiopia
Vincentians, are invited to re-ignite their passion to be catalysts for change and to do so they need to seek God’s will, they need to learn how to discern and how to read the signs of the time. That was the 1st topic on the 4th and last day of VFCAP training session in Ethiopia. Participants were invited to reflect upon their personal reflection practices.
At the end of this session, participants were called to take action and to come up with a personal collaborative action plan in order to become a better collaborator and to work more effectively with and for the poor. The sharing of these plans was very inspiring and encouraging.
The closing Eucharistic Celebration, presided by Fr Joseph Agostino, CM, put an end to the VFCAP Ethiopia adventure and crowned a whole week of hard work and deep reflections. Participants received an anointing with oil as a sign that there are sent together to evangelize and to serve the Lord in those living in poverty.
