From March 16 – 22, representatives from the Vincentian Family of Latin America (abbreviated “FaViLa” in Spanish) will meet in Guatemala for a week of formation, sharing of experiences and planning for the future. Wouldn’t you like to be connected to this event?
Well, you can be connected! Famvin has organized to provide social media and web coverage of the event. You can follow on Twitter and Facebook in Spanish, and Instagram directly. Or to make it easy, you can follow all three streams at social.famvin.org. All the participants will be asked to share their thoughts and photos using the hashtag #favila2015. I will be there, too, as one of the representatives of Bolivia, posting on social media and blogging on famvin.org in English and Spanish in the middle and at the end of the event. You can participate, too, sending your thoughts and best wishes by using the hashtag!
The theme for the event is, “Vincentian Missionaries: Witnesses of Faith and Charity,” and will cover themes like “ongoing efforts at systemic change,” and “collaboration within and without the Vincentian family.” There will be cultural presentations from some of the delegations, and of course prayer and Masses, so the photos should be lovely! Join us, as we celebrate the Family in Latin America!
