Applications are open for the next young adult Vincentian Small Faith Community, sponsored by the Daughters of Charity Province of St. Louise. Group members will meet on Zoom monthly from August to December and will specifically focus on anti-racism work and the Vincentian charism. Participants also meet monthly with an apostolic reflection partner from the group. They will have the choice to continue with the group beyond December if they wish.
Do you wish that your faith was more connected to the issues that matter most to you?
Are you looking for a group of people to talk with about spirituality and what’s happening in the world?
Are you curious about how service, reflection, and action connect to your faith?
If you answered “yes” to these questions, we hope you will consider being part of a Vincentian Small Faith Community!!
You are invited to participate in a Vincentian Small Faith Community!
The next Vincentian Small Faith Community cohort will begin in August 2023 and continue through December 2023. Young people ages 18-35 will meet monthly to pray, learn about the Vincentian charism, and talk with their community about how their faith connects to important current topics. Anti-racism and anti-oppression training will also be incorporated into the groups to help participants build desegregated, inclusive faith communities. We hope you feel called to learn more!
If you would like to be part of a Vincentian Small Faith Community, please request a discernment guide from mary.pimmel-freeman@doc.org. (The application deadline can be extended if needed.) We will have space for up to ten participants in this cohort.
There is no cost to participate. We ask that participants be able to attend at least four of the five monthly sessions. Groups will meet monthly via Zoom on a set weekday evening. We will follow up with participants the week of July 17, and the first meeting will be held the third week of August. We will be meeting in the evening for PT, MT, CT, ET time zones.
