Sister Barbara Ann Smelko, SC (Seton Hill) welcomed 7th and 8th grade students from Queen of Angels Catholic School in Irwin, Pennsylvania, to assist her in closing the garden for the season. The students were introduced to the history of the garden project, the distribution of the harvest, and the importance of the earth, creation and life. Carrots and peppers were collected, and the remaining plant material was placed in the compost to nourish the soil. View more photos on the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill Facebook page.
