“Let each one put the charism he has received at the service of others, and in this way they will be good stewards of God’s various gifts. (1 Peter 4:10)

Last Thursday, September 10, the third meeting of the Confraternity of Translators took place at 3:00 p.m. Lima – Peru time.

We were glad to see that new members from different countries and therefore different languages joining in each meeting, which will allow us to bring the good news to more people around the world.

We have been doing several translations of documents since the first meeting, however we know that we, as a Vincentian Family, have a language with its own terms, and we know that by practicing we will become familiar with these terms.

In addition, we have begun to hold our meetings with simultaneous translation. We find it to be a need in the short term since due to the situation we are living nowadays, most of the meetings are held through videoconference and in many cases there are people from different countries as it happens in the different fraternities, however having a fellowship that supports with the interpretation will give more facility and the language will not be an impediment anymore if not the opposite. At the moment ZOOM’s platform is used for interpretation since it allows us to create channels where the participant can select the language in which he or she wishes to listen to the conference.

Finally we entrust our service with God’s blessing led by Father Flavio, so that everything we can do is for the construction of the Kingdom of God.

IF YOU WANT TO JOIN OUR CONFRATERNITY AND SHARE YOUR GIFTS IN THE SERVICE OF THE VINCENTIAN FAMILY AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD… SEND YOUR APPLICATION TO: toma@famvin.org and he will share with you the link for our next meeting: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, AT 2:00 PM (Central American Time).
