Dear Sisters, Associates, Staff and Colleagues,

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

This is the quote I used following our Assembly of the Whole last June in Chicago. So much has happened in our world since we gathered to weave together unstoppable charity.

Many of you have joined interest groups to continue your commitment to ongoing support for the Sisters of Charity Federation Futuring Document: 2017 and Beyond, which calls us to “deepen our relationships among Federation congregations and within the Vincentian Family and beyond.” Many have joined interest groups to “celebrate our call to live into our shared future in a spirit of contemplation and prophetic action.”

In this time of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic crisis and the powerful and emotional response to racism erupting in the United States, we invite you to join together in prayer for unstoppable charity. We hope to share prayer and images, stories and song together. We pray to share courage and commitment, grief and hope. While a “virtual gathering” has some limitations, we believe the energy of our shared presence can tap into the same powerful Spirit of God so present at our Assembly of the Whole a year ago. There is no doubt that same unstoppable charity is needed now more than ever! Please join us for our approximately 45-minute prayer and reflection.

I continue to be grateful for the many unstoppable blessings and graces that flow through our Federation and look forward to praying with you as we remember a significant anniversary in the life of the Federation.
