National Miraculous Medal Association of Slovakia Meets for First Time

The National Miraculous Medal Association of Slovakia celebrated their first national assembly on Saturday, October 27, 2018.  The full day of formation was held in the city of Nitra, about an hour east of Bratislava.  Over 200 people attended.

The day included talks on the Slovakia as the nation of Mary, the vocation of Mary as our vocation and helping others near us.  The day also included the confession availability, Rosary, Mass, discussion groups and a theatrical presentation by the Vincentian Marian Youth on the life of Venerable Janko Havlik, CM (servant of God.)  There was barely enough time to eat the three wonderful meals enjoyed by all.

The critique of the day resounded with the need to do this annually.  Formation for the members of the Association was a great help to them in their call to be more like Mary.  As the pictures show, there were many contributions (a Miraculous Medal cake; a flag) by many people making it truly a Vincentian gathering and ministry.
