A global initiative of the Vincentian Family to celebrate during the year 2017 the 400 years of the Vincentian charism

Schedule in the region of Rio de Janeiro

I – In the celebratory dimension:

• September 25, 2016: Celebration to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the Vincentian charism, from 7:30 to 11:30, at the Sanctuary of the Miraculous Medal, Dr. Satamini Street, 333, Tijuca – RJ
• May 21, 2017 (third Sunday): 12th Annual Meeting of the Vincentian Family, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, at St. Vincent de Paul school, Cosme Velho Calle 241, Cosme Velho -. R. J.
• September 24, 2017: Liturgical Solemnity of Saint Vincent de Paul – Prayer Day in common of the Vincentian Family and Feast of St. Vincent de Paul, from 7:30 to 12:00, in the chapel of the Miraculous Medal, Dr Satamini Street, 333, Tijuca. R. J.

II – In the formative dimension:

• From June 15 to 18, 2017: Second edition of the Collaborative Action Program (VFCAP), in the Provincial Curia of the Daughters of Charity, Dr. Satamini Street, 333, Tijuca – RJ
• October 21, 2017: Round Table. Theme: “The vitality, relevance and importance of the Vincentian charism” at the St. Vincent de Paul school, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, Cosme Velho Street – R. J.
• Panel with the theme “The Vincentian charism, yesterday and today” in each of the houses and works of the Vincentian Family. In this panel, updated periodically along 2017, will be presented testimonies of the Vincentian work in various places, vocations in the Vincentian Family, etc.
• Design of a request for communication of events and materials produced.
• To invest more in the diffusion of the writings of St. Vincent: his life, his work, legacy to the Church and the world, especially the volumes already translated into Portuguese from the “Complete Works of St. Vincent de Paul.”
• Service of vocational animation: Production of common materials to the various branches of the Vincentian Family, with the aim of making known the Vincentian charism, seeking to awaken, accompany and guide vocations.

 III – In the dimension of concrete service to the poor: Popular Missions

• From January 14 to 28, 2017: first stage of Parish Missions of the Vincentian Family in the parish of Nossa Senhora da Conceição do Monteiro, Campo Grande – RJ
• Study on the feasibility of assuming the project “Association of Solidarity House” in Nova Iguaçu – RJ
• From January 13 to 27, 2018: Second stage of Parish Missions of the Vincentian Family in the parish of Nossa Senhora da Conceição do Monteiro, in Campo Grande – RJ – Closure of the celebrations of the 400 years of the Vincentian charism.
