Angie Panelo is a Youth Leader!

by | Apr 2, 2017 | News, Society of St. Vincent de Paul

March 31. Philippines.

Angie Panelo, who is a member of the SSVP PH National Youth Committee heads for the Vatican this weekend, together with our dear Fr. Conegundo B. Garganta. She has become an acknowledged world youth leader! Vincentian of… wherever? The Philippines!

She will be representing the whole Filipino Youth in the customary evaluation of the past WYD (2016 in Poland) and the launching of the pastoral and logistical preparation for the next international WYD (2019 in Panama).

The said meeting will also make a contribution to the preparations for the next Synod of Bishops in 2018: two days of the meeting will be devoted to study the theme given by Pope Francis, “Young people, faith and vocational discernment”. The presence of a youth leader like Angie can inject the Vincentian charism into the mix — something we’re sure Pope Francis will like!

Karl Michael Hila of the SSVP says,

Angie the Youth Leader

Let us include her in our prayers.

To Angie: May you have a fruitful and grace filled experience in the Vatican. I have watched your journey in the past years and I share your joy in the many blessings you are receiving and I am very happy to see the visible works of God in your life. Stay humble and carry on! To God be the glory!

She’s in my prayers. Will she be in yours?
