The Congregation of the Mission, a society of apostolic life founded by St. Vincent de Paul in 1625, has released an institutional video presenting its identity and mission in today’s world. The congregation is celebrating the 400th anniversary of its foundation:
In 2025 we will celebrate 400 years of the foundation of the Congregation of the Mission […] yet another opportunity to pave the way for revitalization of our Vincentian identity in its missionary spirituality and in synodality, as proposed by Pope Francis. Undoubtedly, both of these post major challenges; above all, to adapt our charism to the times in which we are living and to rekindle our hope.
