Sister Jackulin Jesu, a woman of unyielding faith and dedication, has been elected the new President of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Her election was confirmed during the 2023 General Assembly held in Nazareth, Kentucky.

The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, an international congregation devoted to education, health care, and social work, conduct this assembly every five years to reflect, discuss, and decide the trajectory of their mission. This year’s assembly took on a renewed significance due to the global implications of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sister Amrita Manjaly Elected Vice President

Following Sister Jesu’s election, Sister Amrita Manjaly was nominated and subsequently approved as the new Vice President for the Congregation.

As she embarks on this new chapter, Sister Manjaly’s leadership promises to infuse the congregation with renewed vitality and a fresh perspective, working hand in hand with Sister Jackulin Jesu to propel the sacred mission of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth forward.
