To Jesus with Mary

We are the Vincentian Marian Youth (VMY) Sierra Leone. The VMY is fully operational in Sierra Leone. We thank God and the Blessed Virgin Mary for this wonderful association and we are grateful to the Priests of the Congregation of the Mission from Nigeria who are helping us in our understanding of the VMY.

In Sierra Leone, we have our weekly prayer meeting every Saturday at 4pm, we also engage in weekly apostolates to the Prison, the hospital, the orphanage and to the sick and aged at home in the villages.

Through our apostolates we do our best to bring Jesus to the poor and restore their hope in God. By the special grace of our Mother Mary many are healed in the heart and body. Our people are so happy when we go to them on apostolates because it’s never been a practice here. They wish we can be coming to them every day since so many people have not been to church for a very long time due to sickness or old age.

The VMY members in Sierra Leone are happy young people who are determined and committed to serve God and the poor through the footsteps of our mother Mary.

St Columba’s Catholic Church Moyamba, Sierra Leone is served by the Vincentian Missionaries from Nigeria.
