Easter Greetings 2021 of Father Tomaž Mavrič, C.M., the President of the Vincentian Family Executive Committee:

Transcription:

Dear members of the worldwide Vincentian Family, of the worldwide Vincentian Movement,

My broken Christ, Your broken Christ, Our broken Christ. During Lent we tried to enter into dialog with the broken Jesus, the Jesus without legs, arms, with His disfigured face, with his body full of wounds.

In the Bible we read: It was by Jesus’s wounds that we were saved” “It was by His wounds, that we had been healed.”

The wounds as painful and as unhuman they are, they can become a privilege place for our own healings, for our own inner change, for our own conversion, for our own eternal salvation.

It is through the experience of our own wounds and the wounds of others, that we enter in a privilege relationship with ourselves, with others, with Jesus.

Jesus waits for us in our own wounds and in the wound of others, to change them in a place of resurrection from inner suffering to inner joy, from inner wounds to new life.

After Jesus’s own Resurrection, He invited the people that were around Him to look at his healed wounds, the scars left from the nails in his arms and legs, the scars left from His crown of thorns, the scars left on His beaten face and body.

Jesus invites the people to touch Him, to become convinced that He is not a ghost, but he has flesh and bones.

It is about the Resurrection, but not just the final Resurrection in Eternity, but our daily, day by day resurrections we experience from a state of suffering and deep wounds to a state of inner freedom and joy.

The wounds, the inner suffering with Jesus, become the privilege place to encounter Jesus and to be healed, to be resurrected day after day and finally in Eternity.

Jesus keeps repeating to us: I am not a ghost. Please, come and touch me. See that I have flesh and bones. See my resurrected wounds, to bring You, You and You wherever you are forever to me.

Wishing you all abundant blessings throughout  Easter 2021

Alleluia! Praise the Lord!
