The Vincentian Family in Cali (Colombia) Assist Homeless

Cali is the Colombian capital city of the department of Valle del Cauca, is the third most populated city in the country. In Cali there is a large presence of the Vincentian Family. The conditions of extreme poverty of much of the population are alarming.

Also the delinquency, the criminal bands, the micro and macro traffic reign in the city. In addition to these dramatic scenes, it is the situation of hundreds of inhabitants of street.

Father John Jairo Quintero, parish priest of St. Vincent de Paul – the parish of the Congregation of the Mission in Cali – shared with the activity with the street inhabitants in September 25, the eve of the feast of our founder. This activity takes place every month.

This activity seeks to dignify the street inhabitants, to offer them a bath, clothes and a spiritual encounter. The Daughters of Charity, the Vincentian Fathers and other members of the Vincentian Family carry out this praiseworthy mission in the district of El Cedro.

In Cali there is also one of the temples dedicated to the Miraculous Virgin, an oasis of spirituality in the whole city of Cali.
