On Sunday, July 28, a Meeting of the Vincentian Family of Paraguay took place at the Vincentian Seminary of Asunción.

Starting at 10:00 am the different delegations arrived. The first to arrive was the Famvin of San Pedro del Ykua Ycuamandiyú (250 miles from Asunción). Those from Arroyos y Esteros and Carapeguá in the interior of the country were also present. The other participants were from Asunción and its surroundings.

At 11:00 am we began with the presentations of the different branches present: VMY, SSPV, AMM, Young Elizabethians, Friends of Saint Joan of Antida, Vincentian Sisters of Zagreb, Vincentian Sisters of Gijzegem, Sisters of Saint Joan of Antida, Daughters of Charity and Congregation of the Mission, a total of 100 participants.

After a delicious lunch, at 2:00 pm, we reflected on the foundations of St. Vincent de Paul (Ladies of Charity, Congregation of the Mission and Daughters of Charity), on the current events and the challenges of the charism nowadays, which invites us to live as “mystics of charity” (contemplatives in action) following the example of our spiritual father. Next, we had a time of work in groups and later we went to the plenary, where challenging dreams emerged that we must continue to discern to turn them into projects of FAMVIN of Paraguay.

We closed this beautiful day with the celebration of the Eucharist, where we were accompanied by the neighbors of the seminary and the parishioners of the chapels where we carry out our apostolate.
