Dear brothers and sisters of the International Vincentian Family:
The current National Council of the Vincentian Family in Ecuador (FAVIE), elected at the Ordinary National Assembly on Saturday, January 19, 2019, rejoicing in the peace and love of the Lord, extends an affectionate greeting to each one of you.
Likewise, strengthened in the unity of Christ, Mary, Saint Vincent and Saint Louise, we present ourselves to continue in the mission at the service of the poor, our masters and lords, to promote the Vincentian charism, in the legacy of our Holy Founder, in the programmed activities, God willing, for the period 2019-2022.
Coordinating Team of the FAVIE:
- Coordinator: Mónica Cobos (AMM).
- Vice-Coordinator: Miriam Vera (AIC).
- Secretary: Sr. Verónica Vinueza (DC).
- Assitant Secretary: Pamela Ordóñez (JMV).
- Treasurer: América Ñacata (MISEVI).
- National Advisor: Father Marco Bayas (CM).
- National Advisor: Sr. Inés María Arévalo (DC).
- Website Coordinator: Jorge Villa (SSPV).
We will keep in communion with the firm certainty of feeling ourselves children of God, welcoming His love, the Vincentian spirituality, to mature and persevere in the commitment with impoverished brothers and sisters. As Pope Francis expresses us: “He who experiences in his own life the faithful love of God and his consolation is able, moreover, in the duty to be close to the weakest brothers and take charge of their weaknesses.”
And, with the immense love of being a Family — because in it we experience love in all its dimensions — we remember at all times the Hymn of Charity that St. Paul proposes to us in one of his Letters, because through this great love we reach true harmony, faith, unity, joy, peace, hope, dedication, justice, charity: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
Finally, brothers and sisters, may each day of our lives be in harmony with God the Father, One and Triune, under the protection of Mary Most Holy, with the aid of the great Vincentian virtues, so that “the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Rom 15:13).
May our Lord Jesus bless you and accompany you in the great work you do!
Mónica Cobos, FAVIE Coordinator
Sr. Verónica Vinueza DC, FAVIE Secretary
