The Vincentian Family in Mexico Delivers 15 Homes to Victims of Earthquakes

We, the Vincentian Family in Mexico, have great news.

Throughout the past year, we have been working with a group called Corazones por México. Each branch of the Vincentian Family made a commitment to build a house in Hueyapan for the victims of the September 19 earthquake. At first, the challenge seemed overwhelming and we began our task with much fear.

Thanks to God, we exceeded our goal and on January 5, three more houses were delivered making a of 15 homes that were handed over to the families of this area. Through this endeavor, Mexico became a partner with the Homeless Alliance and their worldwide project known as “13 houses” (alluding to the 13 houses that St. Vincent established for the needy of his era).

Thanks to this project, Mexico is currently receiving grants for seven other houses and with the International Vincentian Family and “13 houses” project of the Famvin Homeless Alliance, we can continue to rebuild in Hueyapan.
