As we approach the anniversary (January 25) of the founding of the Congregation of the Mission, .famvin is highlighting some examples of their mission, programs, and services. Here we celebrate the Vincentian mission in the Solomon Islands, part of the Oceania Province. Vincentians came to the Solomon Islands in 1992. They are ministering in a resource-poor local Church amidst great difficulties at times, yet with a spirit of cooperation and encouragement across the Provinces of the Congregation of the Mission. As with all things, further work and commitment will be needed to assure the growth of this mission. As the video’s narrator, Brian O’Sullivan, CM, states: “Thank you for your prayer and support. Together, we are on mission.” Experience this mission in the video below.
