The Vincentian Family in Indonesia has been involved in assisting those affected by the recent tsunami that hit the central area of the island of Celebes at the end of September 2018, leaving hundreds dead and injured, and causing hundreds of millions of dollars in damage.

Working in collaboration with other organizations, such as the Red Cross, the members of the Vincentian Family have assisted the needy with material assistance and medical care as they care for those who were wounded. In addition, they have trained children to know how to take refuge in the eventuality of a future tsunami.
