WYD 2019: International Meeting of the Vincentian Youth will be Held in the City of San Carlos (Panama)

The International Meeting of the Vincentian Youth (IMVY), January 18-21, 2019, will be held in the city of San Carlos, located about two hours by land from Panama City. The information was confirmed by members of the organizing committee of the event.

The event brings together young people from dozens of branches of the Vincentian Family and prepares the World Youth Day.

On February 5, 2018, the organizing committee of the IMVY will have a meeting in Panama, to come up with the schedule of the event. The meeting will take place in Santa Maria Parish, in the neighborhood of Balboa, in Panama City. This parish is maintained by the priests of the Congregation of the Mission.

Members of the Congregation of the Mission (CM), Daughters of Charity (DC), Vincentian Marian Youth (VMY), Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP), International Association of Charities (AIC) and Association of the Miraculous Medal (AMM), are part of the organizing committee.

The World Youth Day will take place shortly after the IMVY, in the capital city of Panama, from January 22 to 27, 2019. On Monday, January 29, 2018, officially begins the registration for WYD 2019.

The last three IMVY were held in Madrid, Spain (2011); Belo Horizonte, Brazil (2013) and Piekary, Poland (2016).
