President General of the SSVP visits the United States

In these days, between January 3rd and 8th, 2017, President General Renato Lima de Oliveira is on an official visit to the National Council of the United States of America.

On the 3rd, 4th and 5th of January, Renato worked an extensive agenda in New York, Trenton and Baltimore. He visited Conferences, Councils and Special Works, as well as held meetings with young Vincentians and Clergy representatives.

On January 6th and 7th, while in Philadelphia, the President General is attending the annual meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Vincentian Family, an entity comprised of the leaders of the main branches of the Vincentian Family. The President General will also have a meeting with Father Robert Maloney, the new International Spiritual Advisor to the General Council.

On January 8th, Renato will be in Miami, where he will be meeting with local Vincentians.

In all these activities, President General Renato Lima will be accompanied by brother Edmund Keane, International Vice-president of Institutional Relations, as well as International Territorial Vice-President “America 1.”

“Our objective with these visits is to know more intimately the beautiful work of integral human promotion carried out by the Vincentian brothers and sisters of the United States of America, a nation which comprises of 4,400 Conferences and 96,000 members,” said President General Renato Lima.
