Knowing the need for deeper collaboration among Vincentian Family groups in Taiwan, the Congregation of the Mission Chinese Province organized a workshop for Vincentian collaboration last week, May 16-19, 2016 . Ms. Pamela Mantuhac, a member of the design-team of VFCAP and Fr. Venerando Agner, the Provincial Visitor of CM Philippine Province teamed up to facilitate the three-day workshop held at Beatitude Retreat House in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. There were twenty (20) CM priests, two (2) DCs, four (4) SSVP members, seven (7) leaders from Vincentian parishes and four (4) staff from Beunen Foundation who participated in the said event.

The workshop which was designed with five (5) modules, helped participants realize the rich history of collaboration within the Vincentian Family exampled by big Vincentian saints, the importance of Vincentian virtues, the skills and methodologies needed on doing collaboration.

Vincentian Family groups in Taiwan have been trying in recent years not only to collaborate in celebrating feasts and other activities but more importantly collaborating in giving service with and for the poor. Thus, this workshop helped them appreciate better the need for more collaboration and understand deeper the challenges of doing service collaboratively. Hopefully, participants would practice the theories they learned from the workshop as they go back to their places and communities.
