Sister Julie, can you introduce yourself please?
Yes, I’d be glad to. I’m Sister Julie Kubasak, I’m originally from the United States, and right now I’m living at our motherhouse in Paris, France, the motherhouse of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. What do you do, Sister Julie?
I serve currently on our General Council, which means I work with Sr. Françoise Petit on kind of an advisory team with her.Why is it Important to work together with the Vincentian Family?
Yes, I was thinking, in our days, so many people are conscious of their family background; so many people are looking at their ancestry, and their family tree, and it reminds me of the Vincentian Family. But for us, we have an added dimension and that’s because of our consecration, our dedication to God, and to service of Jesus in people living in poverty. So for me, the Vincentian Family is not only getting together to enjoy each other in the family tree, but because we do our service even greater; we serve God more, we can reach more people, and more effectively.Sr. Julie, the hope and the challenge, for the future of the Vincentian Family?
I think, my hope then, and the challenge for the Vincentian Family, is to continue to get to know each other, to grow in our serving together, to realize that even as we move forward, and we learn to love each other as brothers and sisters in the same Family, we become stronger in our service, in our ability to serve and to reach out to others who are in need, who might even be seeking us without knowing it, and seeking God without knowing it.Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Sr. Julie has, with her usual skill, “Hit the nail on the head!”
As ever, Sr. Julie has summarized in short but skilled language, the heart of our Daughter of Charity vocation: We stand with, for, among those living in poverty in the spirit of Jesus our Model and Lord.

Great to see Sr Julie and to expore and expand our vision for the Vincentian family whos heart must be for those living in poverty.
