From July 8 – 17, 2023, members of MISEVI Colombia accepted a call to mission among people who live in impoverished areas in parts of Colombia.
The following is a description of their mission from the MISEVI Colombia group:
On the occasion of the celebration of the 400 years of the light of Pentecost for the Daughters of Charity, of the 20 years of the presence of the Vincentian Secular Missionaries (MISEVI) in Colombia and of the beginning of the Triennium for the celebration of the centenary of the Congregation of the Mission in the world (1625-2025), the Vincentian family of Colombia organized and carried out this mission to accompany the communities of the parishes of Majagual, Guaranda, San Jacinto del Cauca, Montecristo, Regencia and Villa Uribe.
The mission revolved around the theme of our commitment as baptized persons in the building of the kingdom of God, following Mary our mother and Saint Vincent de Paul who preferred the mission to the poorest and most vulnerable.
