The Macon Housing Authority in Georgia (USA) and Depaul USA are building Central City Apartments that are expected to be completed at the end of 2023.
Every weekday in Macon, an average of 100 homeless men and women visit Depaul USA Daybreak to receive services that help them overcome the immediate crisis of homelessness. These services include:
- Housing and housing placement
- Case management
- Breakfast and snacks
- Laundry facilities
- Showers
- Free health clinic
- Access to phones and computers
- Transportation assistance
- Identification and documentation
New Central City Apartments and Medical Respite one step closer to being a reality. On Monday, May 22, 2023, some Miraculous Medals were put in the foundation and God was asked to bless the project.
Depaul’s interest is in 11 beds for respite care for the homeless population to recover from illness or injury, which makes this downtown housing project unique. Over $2.25 million has been raised by Depaul’s local fundraising efforts.

Nail by nail our new building, is beginning to take form. This week the framing has begun, and we blessed the ground before the cement was poured on the final building where housing and the medical respite will be. Thanks for all who are supporting and working on our Central City Apartments which will provide housing and a medical respite.
