The publishing house La Milagrosa-CEME (Madrid-Spain) has just published the book: “La Santísima Trinidad, origen de nuestra perfección y modelo de nuestra vida: la espiritualidad vicenciana en clave trinitaria” [The Holy Trinity, Origin of Our Perfection and Model of Our Life: Vincentian Spirituality in a Trinitarian Key] (464 p.), written by Father Vinícius Augusto Teixeira, CM.

The objective of this work is to approach the ineffable mystery of the Holy Trinity from St. Vincent de Paul’s point of view, that is, from what he himself lived, assimilated and transmitted about this founding reality of the Christian faith. Starting from the spiritual experience and teachings of Saint Vincent, we return to the mystery from which his experiences and his missionary charisma flow and converge, and in which are found the ultimate meaning and the definitive consistency of his profound faith, his apostolic ardor and his inspiration as a founder.

Vincentian spirituality is constituted as a Trinitarian spirituality, a proper way of welcoming the initiative of the Father’s love, principle and foundation of all that we are; of putting on the spirit of Jesus Christ, evangelizer of the poor; and of letting ourselves be led by the Spirit that introduces us into the communion of eternal love. It is necessary, therefore, to underline more clearly the Trinitarian matrix of the Vincentian charisma, rediscovering there the furrow in which charity and mission are rooted and from which they receive the sap that makes and invigorates them.
