Coming up on August 30 is the feast day of Blessed Ghebre-Michael, an Ethiopian priest (associate of St. Justin de Jacobis, C.M.). He was not born Roman Catholic and in fact in his early years it is said that he viewed Catholics with suspicion and mistrust. But by the end of his life, after he had converted, he actually was tortured and died a martyr for refusing to renounce Catholicism. Learn more about his life in the presentation below. The text for this presentation was from a talk by Thomas Davitt, C.M.
