Several years ago, we happened to post a YouTube video: Personal Story– St. Vincent’s Orphanage in Chicago told by John Bridges of the Theater School at DePaul University. Little did we know that immediately, many emails would start to come in from people who were searching online for information about their birth parents and had stumbled onto our website. Those adoption records are now under the administration of Catholic Charities of Chicago, and thankfully we’re able forward the inquiries we receive to Lisa Francis, a social worker in post-adoption services there, who is happy to help.
Lisa wanted to let everyone know that they are finally going to have an “in person” St. Vincent’s Reunion once again this year, for adopted persons who were placed from St. Vincent’s Orphanage in Chicago. The information is below:

St. Vincent’s Orphanage was a ministry of the Daughters of Charity for 91 years. This video features some very moving stories from the staff and from people who were adopted from St. Vincent’s.
