Vincentian Lay Missionaries Volunteers in Tanzania

by | Jul 4, 2022 | News, Vincentian Lay Missionaries

Two secondary school teachers are currently volunteering with Vincentian Lay Missionaries (VLM) in Songea in the south of Tanzania. Luke and Gráinne are living with the Vincentian Fathers and are teaching in the De Paul secondary school and in the Songea deaf school. They brought over an Irish flag and have been given a very warm welcome and made to feel at home in Tanzania.

Luke and Gráinne have been teaching English and History lessons and have also been playing sports with the students. The children have particularly enjoyed playing basketball and table tennis, which they had never played before.
