With the onset of a new academic year in Surkhet, children from economically disadvantaged families have has to confront various problems in order to continue their studies. The Navjyoti Center has received requests for education materials from children’s clubs, from children who have no parents, children of violence-affected single parents and parents who are disabled. About 450 children are being supported by The Navjyoti Center.
This program was organized in Navjyoti Center on June 17, 2022, in which 133 children received education materials such as school bags, uniforms and stationery from Rishi Giri, the newly elected ward chairperson. The Navjyoti Center took this opportunity to welcome the newly elected chairperson and the representatives of ward No. 9. They have promised to continue to coordinate with the work of the Navjyoti Center.
